May 18, 2005 - Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development Annexation Process
The Division of Planning and Development (DPD) systematically monitors growth areas and conducts annexation studies as requested by the City of Memphis. Within its Urban Growth Boundary, Memphis can annex by ordinance and by referendum.

The 385 Corporate Corridor Plan is a planning effort being directed by Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development with consultants, Dugan Design Group and Kimley-Horn and Associates. A vision of new development patterns for a new generation.

Feb 04, 2005 - Memphis and Shelby County Needs Assessment Committee
The mission of the Memphis and Shelby County Needs Assessment Committee (NAC) is to develop uniform guidelines with respect to capital expenditures and to establish an equitable, on-going method of professionally identifying the short and long term needs of Shelby County Schools and Memphis City Schools.

Jun 18, 2004 - Whitehaven-Levi Planning District Study
The Whitehaven-Levi Planning District Study has been initiated to develop a comprehensive land use plan that assess the historic pattern of development and land use as well as provide guidelines to direct future growth in the area.
The Whitehaven-Levi Planning District constitutes an area of roughly 25,600 acres or 40 square miles. Nonconnah Creek, the Mississippi State Line, Airways Boulevard, and the I.C. Railroad bound the area.

Jun 03, 2004 - Douglas Neighborhood Study
The Division of Planning and Development Comprehensive Planning section is launching a study in the Douglass neighborhood. The study will result in a Neighborhood Plan to help preserve and enhance the neighborhood.
